The West and the East engage in a Second Cold War. This begins with Russia's invasions, China's military drills on Taiwan, and the formation of SEATO, a NATO counterpart for the Pacific focused on containing China. The West and the East also engage in multiple proxy wars. Meanwhile, the Mongol Empire plans for the reunification of the Mongol Empire. And Monaco... is getting confused.
